Seattle Fremont Fresh Start Kitchen Remodel
When it comes to kitchen layouts, often they go by letters. There's an L-shape, a U-shape but what about a T-shape? That is what our clients formerly had. This unusual setup in this Seattle Fremont home made it extremely challenging to access and use the kitchen.
Updating the layout into a more classic L-shape, we brought back a lot of usable space into this kitchen. A peninsula was added to create a large multi-functional space for cooking, baking, eating, and various other uses. We also opened up this now functioning kitchen even more by removing the wall that separated this space from the dining room.
Not only updating the function but the look, this kitchen has a modern and transitional feel. New granite countertops add warmth and movement to this space and compliment the dark stained cabinets. Polished chrome finishes in the pulls and fixtures help create a cool contrast, while the textural white backsplash adds more movement and brightens up all the darker elements in the design. Overall this kitchen not only functions better but looks better too!
